Congratulations to David Locher of the Rams (A-10) on winning the DICK’S Sporting Goods Week 4 Player of the Week. In the Rams win over the Hawks on Saturday afternoon, David scored 22 points; including 16 in the first half to lead all scorers. David didn’t shy away from sharing the wealth either – he added a half dozen assists and kept his teammates involved. David and his teammates were all smiles after their great performance! Keep it up, Rams.
Spend your winter break working on your skills at our three-day basketball camp! We will spend the first part of the session working on skills and drills and the rest of the morning playing small-sided games. The camp will be both fun and instructive. Players should bring a snack.
Dates: Wednesday, Dec. 26 – Friday, Dec. 28
Ages: Boys and girls ages 7-12
Congratulations to Ethan Wojnovich, second from the right, of the Spartans (Big 10) for winning the week 3 DICK’S Sporting Goods Player of the Week. In a double-header on Friday night in which Ethan’s team won one and tied one, Ethan had a total of 17 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. The Spartans had contributions from many of their players on Friday night – including a double-digit performance from Trevor Schafer – but Ethan stood out on both ends of the floor. Great performance Spartans and great performance Ethan!
Congratulations to Mikey Smith of the Huskies (PAC 12) for taking home the week 2 DICK’S Sporting Good Player of the Week. Mikey had 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals in a win over the Ducks. In addition to an efficient night scoring the ball, Mikey really helped out on the defensive end. Mikey has been playing in Havertown Hoops for a few years now – his relaxed demeanor on and off the court makes him a great teammate to others. Good job, Mikey!
Congratulations to James Kranick of the Spurs (NBA) for taking home the week 1 DICK’S SPORTING GOODS Player of the Week. James had nearly 20 points in a 49-41 win over the Lakers. In addition to his many rebounds and assists, James knocked down several threes including one off the glass! In the summer, James works at Grange Playground Camp where he’s one of the crowd favorites. Keep up the good work, James!
