We will offer a women’s division as well as a men’s A and B division for our Spring 2020 CREC Adult Basketball League season. Registration for all three will be open on the Haverford Township Recreation website from 1/2/20 -3/8/20. You can register on our website (www.haverfordtownship.org/parks).

The cost per team will be $800 which includes officials, court time, shirts, and game balls. Each team will play 1-2 games per week on Monday and Thursday evenings starting 3/16/20 for a total of EIGHT regular season games in addition to playoffs. The season will be completed by Memorial Day.

If you’re interested in playing, but don’t have a team, please send your name, birth date, email/phone number, playing experience, and height to jhart@havtwp.org. We will try to coordinate a team of free agents if possible.

Congratulations to Team Safern on winning the Fall 2019 CREC Adult Basketball League in the A division for the second time in two years.

Team Safern defeated Purple Cobras by a score of 75-61 in the championship game after finishing 8-0 in the regular season. Brian Murphy had 26 points, Greg Decina had 18, and Jake Mingey had 12 points, 10 rebounds in the 14 point victory. Brian Sarcinello (Purple Cobras) led all scorers with 31 points.

Congratulations to Free Agents on winning the Fall 2019 CREC Adult Basketball League in the B division.

Free Agents defeated Mike Scott Hive by a score of 59-43 in the championship game after finishing 7-1 in the regular season. Mike Scott Hive kept it close in the first half before Free Agents caught fire. Rich Collins led all scorers with 32 points and eight rebounds. Bobby Meigs also contributed 15 points for Free Agents.

Congratulations to Terrance Quin and Glenn Greene (pictured) for winning the Fall 2019 CREC Adult Basketball League scoring titles.

Terrance (Camp MVP) averaged 24.2 PPG in the A division which is up from 16 PPG in the spring. He also grabbed 23 rebounds this season. Terrance received a gift card to Brick & Brew in Havertown.

Glenn (Free Agents) averaged 20.6 PPG in his first season with us. He led all scorers with 39 made three pointers! Glenn received a gift card to Tip O’Leary’s.
